This designer of Catalan origin settled in Havana where he was extremely active and founded Magriñà y Cía. He created the gardens of La Tropical brewery (Cerro Rico y Baire, Havana, 1906-1912), together with the architect J. Cruanyas. The resulting project reflects the influence of Park Güell, designed by A. Gaudí, although it also contains features showing Neo-Gothic and Naturalist influences.
He was a prominent flower grower and a member of the Florists' Telegraph Delivery and the Society of American Florists and Ornamental Horticulturists.
