He studied at the Barcelona School of Architecture from where he graduated in 1903. At first he worked as an assistant to the architect Joan Baptista Feu. A year later, in 1904, he moved back to Terrassa, the town he came from, and was appointed municipal architect, a post he held until 1906.
He began the work on the Mercat de la Independència of Terrassa (1903-1908; Rambla d'Egara, 124-128), which was finished by the architect M. Vinyals.
In 1905 he drew up a project and plans for an attempt to urbanise Sant Boi de Llobregat.
