Specialising in decorative plaster sculptures and designs for decoration, he became one of the most regular collaborators of Modernista architects with his plaster and papier-mâché coverings, such as those in Casa Amatller (1898-1900; Passeig de Gràcia, 41), by the architect J. Puig i Cadafalch. His works won prizes at the 1889 Universal Exhibition in Paris and the 1893 Universal Exhibition in Chicago.
