Unbekannter Jugendstil in Wien (The Unknown Jugendstil of Vienna) is a publication that introduces us to lesser-known architectural examples of the Secession style in Vienna, its representatives, history and environment. It also offers examples of Belgian Art Nouveau in Vienna and ideas for relaxing in Jugendstil surroundings. The author points out primary school buildings built in the Viennese style in Sofia, Bulgaria, and uncovers Jugendstil propaganda from the war period in a Viennese municipal building. The style shines from coats of arms in the Austro-Hungarian Empire´s old port cities,
ornaments used on secondary highways and in other examples on imperial and proletarian buildings.

Pintura catalana. El Modernisme (Catalan Painting: Modernisme) is book coordinated by Francesc Fontbona, an art historian and one of the foremost experts on Modernisme, that reproduces a broad anthology of Catalan Modernista painters.
Fontbona has contributed an introductory text, chosen 200 works by seventy painters and commissioned the texts that accompany each of the reproductions by around forty experts on the selected authors.
As Fontbona explained, "all the paintings reproduced, being highly representative and of optimum quality, form a sort of ideal museum of Catalan pictorial Modernisme."
The works of some of the artists chosen, such as Rusinol, Casas, Utrillo, Anglada-Camarasa, Nonell, Casagemas or Picasso, were selected in strict chronological order (1885?1910) and constitute a perfect balance between more-celebrated and lesser-known works.

The book Otto-Wagner-Spital ?Am Steinhof" (Otto Wagner Hospital "Am Steinhof") describes the history and development of Vienna´s main psychiatric hospital, the Steinhof, into one of the most important medical centres built in the early twentieth century.

The Palau Baró de Quadras opened its doors to the public on 26 February this year. This jewel of Catalan Modernisme, currently housing the headquarters of the Institut Ramon Llull, was designed by the architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch between 1904 and 1906 and declared an artistic heritage monument of national interest in 1976.

The Palau has a monumental Gothic style façade on Avinguda Diagonal and backs onto Carrer Rosselló, where it looks more like a typical Eixample residence. The building was commissioned by the textile industrialist Manuel de Quadras i Feliu, the first Baron of Quadras.

Guided tours of the building, organised by Cases Singulars, take place on Wednesdays in Catalan and multilingual tours, in Catalan, Spanish and English, at various other times.
