Novelda's Modernista House-Museum is located in the former family home of Antònia Navarro i Mira on Carrer Major. It is a large building made up of three floors organised around a central courtyard and designed by the architect Pedro Cerdán Martínez.
Although the building's design is eclectic in style, its perfectly preserved interiors have a more Modernista style about them. The house-museum also contains a collection of decorative Modernista art that includes furniture, small ornamental objects and a considerable amount of printed material, such as posters, cartoons and brochures. It also contains the legacy of the sailor Jorge Juan i Santacilia, who was from the town of Novelda. Furthermore, it has a library with 5,000 books that is open to the public.
The house-museum is managed by the Caja de Ahorros del Mediterràneo CAM Community Projects Foundation, which converted it into a museum and a centre for Modernista research and promotion, also organising talks and exhibitions in the centre.
