He qualified as an architect in 1905 and was one of the closest collaborators of L. Domènech i Montaner - as in Palau de la Música Catalana (1905-1908; Palau de la Música, 4-6), and Casa Thomas (1895-1898; Mallorca, 291-293) -, to whom he was related as his son-in-law.
He also worked closely with other architects such as E. Catà, on the Teatre Principal in Terrassa (1909; Plaça de Maragall, 2), and in 1910, together with A. Soler, he won the competition to build the Central Market in Valencia.
He was chairperson of the Architects' Association of Catalonia and dean of the Official College of Architects of Catalonia in 1940.
