He studied at the Barcelona School of Architecture and graduated from there in 1891.
His architecture is rather eclectic and uses classical forms, but at the turn of the century he produced some work which may be classified as belonging to Modernisme. These are buildings that display prominent ornamentation featuring vegetable and floral elements, and make use of wrought iron, such as Casa Santurce (1902; València, 293). He was chairperson of the Architects' Association of Catalonia from 1922 to 1925.
He also produced work elsewhere in Catalonia, such as the Ateneu Agrícola (Agricultural Athenaeum, 1908-1909; Josep Rovira, 6, 14, Sant Sadurní d'Anoia) and the former Círculo Mallorquín (1913 renovation; Conquistador, 11, Palma de Mallorca).
